Leaving a Legacy
Havant & District relies on financial support to continue offering its valuable services to the community. By supporting the CAB, you will leave a legacy that will build and strengthen tomorrow’s society.
There are different ways you might wish CAB to benefit after your death. A legacy to us could take the form of a gift of money or possessions:
-
You can leave the residue of your estate or part of it to the CAB
-
You may make a pecuniary bequest, which is a gift of a stated cash sum. It is tax-free if given to charity.
-
You can make a reversionary bequest. This means that the gift in your will reverts to Havant & District Citizens Advice Bureau when the original beneficiary dies. The wording for this can be complex so please consult a solicitor
-
You can request that ‘In memoriam’ donations be made to us instead of sending flowers
If you have not yet made a will it can easily be arranged. It is recommended that you do not attempt to write a will yourself but seek professional advice. |
The National Solicitors' Network can help you find a local solicitor to help you. Call 0207 370 0245 or visit their website:
